On May 14, 2024, The members of NOC ACSC / APF Timor-Leste together with FONGTIL met with the Ambassador of the Philippines to Timor-Leste, at the Embassy of the Philippines, Palapaso, Dili, Timor-Leste.
The meeting aims to enable the preparation of the Timor-Leste Civil Society Conference which is expected to take place in September 2024, Dili, Timor-Leste.
The ACSC / APF Conference is the largest space and assembly in the region involving civil society organisations such as NGOs, workers’ union, fields, cooperatives, academics, media and community groups to discuss and alternate social, cultural, economic and political problems in the Southeast Asia region.
Previously, Timor-Leste was the host of the ACSC / APF conference in 2016.
